1. HANDY (ipad, android) . if you struggle a lot with hands this is a great tool. you can move bones individually to adjust the hand pose, play with lighting & shadows, and more! has head, feet, and props as well. $1.99 but practically no in-app purchases after.

5. LIFESAVER if you struggle with animal heads/muzzles. you can move the skull and get images of animals in that particular perspective. you can change the skull and get species specific! completely free and no AI generation :)

7. CSP shading assist (all platforms). this is an in-app feature of clip studio paint, and requires you to already have a subscription. shading assist is great for loosely referencing where your light source & shadows are!

3. TRANSFORM TOOL & IMAGE QUALITY. there are different ways to scale an image. nearest neighbor gives you the sharpest results, bilinear is smoother but blurrier, and bicubic has the blurriest/most quality degradation. good to keep in mind for making pixel art.

2. QUICKMENU . do NOT sleep on the quickmenu like i did. in my case i activate it with a tap on the screen and it makes a lot of features hidden by the minimal UI accessible with a tap. you can map your own actions & gestures. prefs -> gesture controls -> quickmenu

7. HAND SCANNER. ok back in business. this tool has come in clutch SO many times. if you’re struggling with hands or are on a time constraint and can’t pose manually, you can use your camera to capture your hands which will pose the ones on the 3D mannequin!!

4. ERASE ALONG EDGE (ASSETS TOOL) . awesome anti-overflow assets eraser that makes for far easier coloring. typically you’d have to manually avoid erasing in the lines which gets significantly tougher the thinner your lineart gets.

3. REFER MULTIPLE (FILL TOOL). usually when you fill underneath your lineart layer, it doesn’t fill inside the lines. going to tool properties and selecting “refer multiple” fills inside the lines - no matter how many lineart layers are above it.
