Very sad to receive the news of Col. Edith Nakalema's father, Rev. Eriyasafu Sserwadda. I join the family and country in mourning a man that has served the Lord with much dedication, and raised patriotic, faithful and diligent children like Col. Nakalema. May his memory be a blessing, and his soul rest in the arms of the Lord! FK

The General Public is informed that it's true that the Appointing Authority named new Judges and forwarded their names to Parliament for approval. The list as was circulated is authentic. After the Parliamentary proceeding, appointees who will have been vetted successfully will be announced and assume their roles accordingly. Also, Justice Faridah Shamilah Bukirwa who had earlier been vetted was given a one- year contract of service. Please, disregard any other statement(s) in this matter. Thank you! FK

The Presidential Press Unit - PPU wishes to inform the General Public and especially the people of Kigezi that His Excellency the President of the Republic of Uganda @KagutaMuseveni will resume his PDM Zonal Tours on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, in Kigezi Sub-region. The President will visit PDM Farmers, hold a live media interaction, and address a public rally in the sub-region. The PPU will keep you updated on the tour.
