@calumnolan_ Depends what you want to build. There is a world where you can continue to replace your clients with better and better ones, increase prices, and stay on the smaller side - 100%. I work with several in this bucket.

@MatthewGattozzi It’s because it’s no longer ez mode. You have to be on a different skill level if you want to win, especially serving DTC. Endless options for brands and teams that are great. That said though, still tons of agency owners thriving in many verticals

@calumnolan_ Full time is a non-negotiable in this role IMO to do it well. Actively looking for upsell/cross sell opportunities, being fully proactive with strategy/comms. From there I look at a solid base salary, and bonuses based on revenue churn rate (%) on a quarterly lookback window.

@iamshackelford Be ruthless with priorities. There’s things that move the needle and things that don’t. Eliminate the waste as soon as possible.
