I am disheartened by the state of affairs in this nation. If you use an X as an identifier on your passport, processing will likely be delayed for 4 to 8 yrs. Isn't the rising cost of living, which is having a tangible impact, more pressing than how people identify themselves?
Attention! The US State Department has stopped alllowing passports with the “X” gender marker preferred by non-binary people who don’t identify as strictly male or female. Also, passports already submitted with and X are on hold. So sorry. #passport
