EXACTLY this! I argued till I was hoarse on Goldsmiths Council that we should play to the college’s strengths rather than following a model that may (& even that is arguable) work for anr institution. They didn’t listen & have dismantled the very thing that made Goldmiths ✨
@USSbriefs Many senior university managers seem quite unimaginative and lazy. They go to the same type of 'consultants' who all say the same thing - recruit from the same countries, drop humanities and social sciences. Focus on business.

Let this sink in. Today the head of the ABC said to post on social media ‘illegally Occupied Territories’ is antisemitic. This ought to provide a clue as to the restrictions on language use at the public broadcaster, to policy based on the judgement of senior management.
