Thanks to @JTKidney for pushing us to document the use of the Seraph #hemoperfusion device for #Covid_19 as well as for #antimicrobial resistance. Our patient may well be alive today because of it @thenairobihosp @Kenya_Renal @AfricanAFRAN @WomenNephAfrica

We have not seen anything to suggest that the Renal Transplant Benefits Package is about to be honoured. But we are encouraged to believe that SHA is working. Where are the post transplant drugs? Where do we pick them? What was rolled out? Wapi Dawa?

We strongly condemn #OrganTrafficking. #Transplant is best for those with #KidneyFailure but it's not just anyone who can donate. There is very strict criteria & many tests must be done. Organ Traffickers do not care about you. @andrewsuleh @renal_ke @transplantedke @HAARTKenya
Doctors here, what's the process of removing the kidney? Who should consent? In Kipkenyo, Eldoret there is a 22yr old guy who was lured to remove kidney mid this year without telling anyone. Guy bought a phone and akaweka aviator and he is now broke, sold the phone already. The single mother is now struggling nursing him. The guy says he knows other guys in the village who have given out their kidneys but can't expose them. The mother says her problem is the guys buying the kidney are targeting the vulnerable in the society. When did we reach here?
