@krassenstein I don’t support immigrants who illegally enter our country and I find it odd you think it’s ok for them to break the law again by fraudulently stealing someone’s identity!

@krassenstein Fact - they can and do receive SS benefits and the exceptions were abused under Biden!

@rory_leary @EdKrassen Republicans got their pet projects funded too! Both parties took advantage! Congress has talked about cutting wasteful spending FOR YEARS but Trump is actually doing it!

@EdKrassen I find it so amazing that they are petitioning in support of wasteful spending! Not a good look for any Democrat to support this, the receipts are self explanatory. Senator Coon crashed and burned on CNN trying to support USAID spending. It will be that way in every department

DOGE is listing names of orgs or specific event and dollars that are questionable by line item! Show the receipts for “Ivanka’s project” to back up what you say. What org received funds and how much by funding and in total. Also not all of USAID dollars are being questioned and many programs are deemed important to US and will continue to receive funding. DOGE has called out R projects as well as D projects. Those young guys dont know who approved what…and the American people don’t care they just what their tax dollars spent responsibly!

@coolboarder80 @BlueWaveWarrio1 @Oppie4547 @krassenstein All commissions are set up that way and commission terms are stair stepped to provide continuity and so each president doesn’t come in and wipe out the whole commission and replace with their party. It’s to force a balance.

CBS maybe give your readers how commissions work! Her term is up the end of February. She is currently chair and the chairs of commissions are appointed by the President so Trump can make her step down as chair immediately and he doesn’t have to re appoint her to the commission. Commission terms dont automatically renew. They are appointed by POTUS and approved by senate. And no POTUS can pack any commission with just their party. There is a required balance of D’s and R’s that must be met.

Years ago, I helped a “legal” immigrant from Guatemala get a green card, learn English, learn how to drive, get a drivers license, buy a car and file a tax return. Today she is a very proud hard-working U.S. citizen. She is as disgusted as anyone that Biden allowed millions of illegals to just walk into our country!

No commissions are different, each serve a term, required % of D’s and R’s. They can not be fired from the commission but each POTUS has the right to select the chairman. If no one resigns when a new POTUS is elected then new POTUS has to select a chair from the pool of existing commissioners. There is also a possibility that a R POTUS has to select a D commissioner to keep the ratios required.

@krassenstein Her term is up in February? Trump (any POTUS) has the absolute right to select the chairman of each commission so while he may not be able to remove her today from the commission he can absolutely remove her as chair.

If you could take a beat you might be able to understand how Trump works and it’s actually brilliant and it works! Gaza: 1) uninhabitable war zone 2) needs rebuilding 3) can’t go back to how things were with Hamas and Israel/Palestinian conflict. So…..Trump flips the equation and draws attention to the potential value of the Gaza area real estate-beachfront property. It was a creative idea and we need to see how this plays out. Other countries like Saudi Arabia will likely jump in to invest in the rebuild. I think ultimately that is what Trump is after! The Palestinians that truly want no conflict will help with the rebuild. The Palestinians that want to go back to the way things were with Hamas in charge don’t stand a chance!

@JessicaTarlov It’s time for something different! It’s a creative idea that deserves more conversation…let it play out!

@EdKrassen A reimagined Gaza is a creative idea and worthy of further discussion to see where it goes! I think everyone agrees that after many decades of turmoil there something needs to change!

@bjlinds99 @AP Let the idea play out with more conversation! Any Gaza rebuilding worker, regardless of nationality, early on will have rough temporary living conditions just to clear out rubble and start rebuilding. For it to work, the Palestinians would have to be happy resettling.
