It actually has nothing to do with age. I am a docu-addict and binge watch many of them. But if you have watched ‘Black Hawk Dawn’ the movie … it’s more engaging than the documentary. The story (which we already know) was seriously draggggggged …. Nze nebase!
@kezio_musoke Gundi.. Our age is showing 😂

He is very poor at delivery or his job … Also I think a little bit of hate and envy drives his speeches.

Now you know why USAID was shut down. Activism should influence or trigger change/shifts. At least from an NGO perspective. No?
@kezio_musoke That's why I used 'rattles'. We don't expect major policy shifts but at least we know they see this and they worry.

1. PR has since evolved into reputation management + stakeholder engagement … which is extremely very strategic in nature. 2. PR practice in Uganda is still traditionally very simplistic and is received/ perceived simply as response to queries and talking to media. 3. The principal custodians hardly understand its relevance and undermine it. 4. Very few PR resources are familiar with what their job entails. 5. This is why many institutions find themselves in a mess when they have PR crises.
One of the things I have noted from the several Exhibitions we have held is that many of our public institutions are abhorrent to scrutiny, moreover by the same people that facilitate them. They take it as an attack. Very few PRs have taken a civil calm approach. They often come off in a belligerent mod, eager for a fight. Many even lack basic corporate decorum. They hardly measure the public impression put up by a PR quarrelling and insulting in public, and the corporate cost. Partly, it’s the price we pay for handpicking people that are hardly trained for their roles. Why we choose to hire rabid dogs for critical PR jobs is part of what has died, to produce a new culture of ‘Foot Soldier PR’, which looks ugly on our national institutions. Ironically, instead of containing crises, they ignorantly escalate them with the foolhardiness of imagining that they can fight off the public - demonstrating that they are liabilities to their institutions. They would learn a lot from the way @kasyate handled the huge weight of the #KampalaPotholeExhbition Institutions, please care to hire trained PRs, and always care to constantly polish and retool them. It is critical. As public faces of our institutions, the damage they can do is tremendous and often indelible.

I have my misgivings about that line of activism. But then again … nze sasoma …
@kezio_musoke is it still a flop? See what these guys have made a whole VC do. Clearly, online Activism rattles.
