Sadly, Haas didn't renew him, and Kmag will leave the grid. He will probably finish 15th with 16 points, but you never know. For me, Kevin never had a good car to show his abilities, but still is my favorite driver. He overcame the setbacks and still achieved his dream.

He qualified 4th in his first race at Melbourne and finished 3rd in the race. Later, he was promoted to 2nd after Ricciardo's dsq, making him the highest placed rookie since Villenueve. The hype was real. But McLaren's car became worse. Kmag still managed to score more points

Kevin Magnussen was born into a racing family. His father, Jan, was an F1 driver who raced for McLaren and Stewart in the 90s, and after his short stint in F1, he started competing in sports car racing, which was massively successful. Kevin started karting at a young age.

After the war in Ukraine, Haas dropped Mazepin and called up Kmag. He finished 5th on his second debut and scored more points. Haas declined over the season but something special happened in Brazil. In a wet qualifying Kevin scored his first pole. He finished 13th with 25 points

2018 was Kmag's peak year. Haas made a good car and Kevin was best of the rest. Dnf'd in Australia while running 4th but made it up in Bahrain, Spain and Austria. He dominated his teammate. Kevin finished a career best 9th in the standings with 56 points. It was a great season

Magnussen became a member of the McLaren junior program and moved up in Formula Renault 3.5 Series in 2012 where he ended 7th. He also drove an F1 car for the first time at the Abu Dhabi young driver test where he went quickest impressing McLaren's sporting director Sam Michael.

For 2013 he remained in Formula Renault and he won the championship, 60 points clear of 2nd place. In 2014, he was promoted to Formula 1 with McLaren after replacing Perez. Kmag went quickest at both preseason tests in Jerez and Bahrain.

In 2008, Kmag graduated from karting to single seater racing. He raced in Formula Ford where he won the championship, after winning 11 out of 15 races. After dominating in his first year he made an appearance at the first ADAC Formel Masters season where he scored 2 second places

After finishing 11th in his first season, McLaren decided to drop him for Alonso. After an accident in pre season testing, Fernando would miss the opening race of 2015 and Kmag would replace him but failed to start the race after an engine failure.

In 2010 Kevin raced in the German Formula 3 championship where he finished 3rd in his rookie season after winning 3 races. He also took the rookie title in the process. In 2011, he we raced competed in the British F3 championship where he won 7 races and finished 2nd behind Nasr.

Magnussen had talks with Andretti to compete in the 2015 Indycar season, but McLaren blocked the deal. He also tested a Porsche 919 Hybrid in Barcelona but no contract was made since he continued Formula 1 with Renault in 2016, where he replaced Maldonado.

In 2009, Magnussen moved up to Formula Renault 2.0 with Motopark Academy. He would find again success finishing 2nd in the championship and also competed in the Eurocup where he won a race and finished 12th.

Lewis never needed team orders to win and even the team was against him. In 2017/18 Bottas was the clear no. 2 and Lewis fought Seb.

Renault's return to f1 wasn't great. The car was uncompetitive and Magnussen had many incidents. He had a big crash at Spa, collided with his teammate in Spain, along with many other incidents. An exception was the Russian gp where he finished a season best 7th. He left the team

Kevin left F1 and competed in IMSA with Chip Ganassi for 2021. He won the Detroit gp and finished 7th. He also competed in Le Mans with his father and in Indycar for McLaren. Kevin finished 29th in Le Mans and dnf'd in Indycar. He was announced to drive for Peugeot in 2022 at WEC

Haas remained with Kmag and Romain for 2019. The VF-19 proved to be uncompetitive. It was quick in qualifying but it didn't have race pace. Kevin recorded his and Haas's highest finish in Australia (6th). He had great qualifications but fell off in the race. Kevin finished 16th.

2024 was another difficult year at first. The car was nowhere in pre season testing. Kevin finished 12th at Bahrain and 11th at Jeddah. The FIA didn't like Kevin's hard racing, which resulted in many penalties. He scored in Australia and had many horrible strategies.

In 2023, Haas signed Hulkenberg. Kevin struggled with the car because it didn't perform well with his style. He also struggled in qualifying but had strong performances at Miami (p4) and Singapore (p6). Magnussen finished behind Nico and scored 3 points.

Haas was prioritizing Hulkenberg and couldn't time Magnussen correctly in qualifying. A great start by Kmag at Canada saw him running 4th but a horrible pit stop dropped him out of the points. After the upgrades at COTA, Kevin felt better with the car and outperformed Nico.

In 2020, Haas made an even worse car. Both drivers struggled to even finish the races. At the Hungarian gp, Kmag was running 3rd but fell to 9th. Later, he was given a penalty and finished in 10th. Haas fired both drivers at the end of the season. Kevin finished 20th with 1 point
