This dataset indicates a novel fate for ketone bodies (KBs) in PUFA synthesis and biology. While KBs contribute to both DNL and FA elongation, there is a special relationship between KBs and PUFAs that will have both biological and biochemical implications. GREAT teamwork here

@DanielJDrucker While the plasma assay captures the totality of soluble DPP-4 activity, could the plasma assay miss cell-bound DPP-4 activity? Granted, not sure what mechanism a putative microbial DPP-4 activity would entail and those observations could be more correlation than causation
