Over the moon that I’ve just been offered the role of Clinical Practice Educator at RCHT in Cornwall. 3 days a week so we can have that quality family time and still be able to be a nurse educator. So flipping happy!

Keith is off to start his new job in Cornwall but we’re still awaiting an exchange and completion date, so me and the girls have to stay here 😭 Not too much longer hopefully! Very grateful to have wonderful friends who are putting him up.

Had a little wobble this morning (in my head)Then I saw these in the changing room. I was telling our lovely physio about them &said how it had made me smile. She confessed it was her that bought them in. I mentioned my wobble &she looked straight at me &told me “you’ve got this”

Survived 😂 lovely, welcoming staff in ED who were really appreciative of our help. A relatively calm day, which was nice for my first time working clinically in the trust. Back for round 2 on Thursday.

I was appointable but the other candidate just pipped me to the post. Still proud of myself for applying and interviewing for my first b7 post. I’ve been encouraged to apply for the next post that’s coming out soon, so I’ll take that as a positive. Next time!

Argh this makes my blood boil. Not just for the obvious reasons but Kate has hyperemesis Gravidarum which is a complication of pregnancy where you vomit 20+ times a day for the duration of the pregnancy and feel like you are dying

I couldn’t have got through today without the support of an amazing bunch of staff. ODPs and nurses who have never set foot on ICU before and also the military CMTs. All so willing to help however they could. As well as the fantastic ICU staff.

This pic is 10.5 years old. 5 years ago today, Matt (wearing the grey hat) passed away. He was epileptic. He was meant to come to our wedding, we were going to his. Matilda was the closest girls name we could get to Matthew. We miss you 😘
