We knew the situation would escalate but not at this rate. The tone responding to the ZCBC letter is worrying. We hope president
@edmnangagwa
will tone things down. At this rate we will be crushing sooner than later.
@zccinzim
We are already struggling with mistrust and lack of confidence in many key institutions. If someone suggests doctors are deliberately killing people using Covid-19, then the nation has gone to the dogs.
Nelson Chamisa's future task
Nelson Chamisa
@nelsonchamisa
has not received fitting recognition for his recent achievements in a political playfield totally skewed against him. His creativity was outstanding with the support of others.
Now that his numbers are higher than those
We congratulate the journalist Hopewell Chin'ono
@daddyhope
for his relentless investigative work which has contributed to this. We hope other disciplinary consequences will follow.
@ZACConline
will now have enough reasons to pursue this case.
We overcome corruption.
@zccinzim
I can't understand why members of the opposition are being persecuted and being arrested for no reason. I have said this many times. Some of us are not members of the opposition and not members of the ruling party. But we can not be silent in the face of such naked abuse of power
We appreciate president
@PresidencyZA

ZEC says the papers were submitted on time. This is rejected by the "courts." Does this not automatically disqualify ZEC as a credible presider over elections?
THIS IS A BIG MESS!!
Today I pray for

because
1. Exposing corruption is BIBLICAL work (Eph 5.11)
2. Non-violent protesting is CONSTITUTIONAL.
The two books are foundational to my FAITH and CITIZENSHIP.
So help me God.
We should never create the perception that

IN SOLIDARITY WITH OBEY SHAVA
I was disgusted to learn that the human rights lawyer in Zimbabwe, Obey Shava

Obey Shava has been a relentless advocate for justice and equality, fearlessly standing up for the rights of the

I am excited to see young Zimbabweans across the political divide passionate and engaged in nation building efforts. What
@MakomboreroH
is alleged to have done doesn't deserve jail in my view. These young people must be supported; they make our democracy respectable.
@zccinzim
We hope our government will, out of respect for the constitution and decency, distance itself from
1.Calls that citizens be violent to each other
2.Disrespectful and inhospitable language against our diplomatic guests
3.Labeling opposition political parties "terrorist groups"
Africa cannot lead the world if it has spiritual prophets than Science Professors. Covid-19 needs scientists. It's a shame we don't have an African vaccine. So many useless monuments but no laboratories. This lack of thought leadership is an indictment on the region.
We are heading towards the most discredited and disputed election. Our constitution is at the throes of death! "WE THE PEOPLE" must come to its rescue so that it can preserve our collective future!
3rd FORCE THEORY implies that our security has become
1. Too divided to work for common purpose,
2. Too incompetent to secure all citizens,
3. Too partisan to prioritize national interest,
4.Too fearful to intellectually engage society?
Which ever position one takes, it's SCARY!
For a family to lose a member is sad. For a family to lose two sons is tragic. Praying for Patson Dzamara's family. The nation has lost one Actively Engaged Citizen
It is with profound sadness to advise you that Dr Patson Dzamara has passed on this morning ahead of his scheduled cancer operation. Thanks to all those that had been contributing to the Fund where +US$14k had already been raised. I am personally devasted. MHDSRIP. 🙏🏿💔😭!
We had dialogue 1979 and a new Zimbabwe was born. We had dialogue in 1987 & had the Unity Accord. Had dialogue in 2009 & got government of national unity. We had a wide engagement in 2013 and got a new constitution. Though imperfect, we always benefited from dialogue.
The church is pursuing a REGIME of peace, justice and prosperity for all Zimbabweans. This mandate derives from the scriptures, the liberation struggle, & the Zimbabwean constitution. If this makes us "Regime Change Agents", let it be.

'FAKE ABDUCTIONS' theory means one so hates the gvt that they
1. Dramatize injuries & get hospitalized
2. Train for 7 years as to learn how to hide from colleagues
3. Hide from families for weeks and years?
I am just asking!
THE INCARCERATION OF NGARIVHUME
The conviction and sentencing of
@NgarivhumeJacob
will have a lasting impact on citizen participation and democratic development in Zimbabwe in many but four key areas. The question is: WHAT SHOULD BE DONE? /1
When Zimbabwe history will be rewritten,
@daddyhope
will be remembered as a hero passionate against corruption. I pray that he lives long enough to see it. I pray for his peaceful rest tonight.
Born in the rural areas with limited access to documentation, my date of birth was only decided later when I took a birth certificate. The choice of the 17th of November of all the dates is interesting for a Zimbabwean!! We thank God for another year.

The Speaker of Parliament Jacob Mudenda has written to the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission announcing vacancies in 15 seats held by CCC MPs after they were recalled by Sengezo Tshabangu, who declared himself the party's secretary general. CCC says Tshabangu an imposter

Compelling reasons for President

to halt Chilonga evictions is the public feeling that this

2. Reverses the gains of the liberation struggle
3. Privileges the elite at the expense of the poor.

@zccinzim
Mr. President

If this violence continues, it may create an uncontrollable dynamic. Elections are over UNITE the nation so that we build together. In the name of God!!!
The property of Peter Taonana, the CCC candidate for Maramba Pfungwe Ward 1, has been set on fire.
For the past two weeks, ZANU-PF has been targeting CCC rural candidates and polling agents, destroying their properties.

I am terribly saddened to hear that Tapfumaneyi Masaya was found dead after his abduction.
Have we not reached a turning point? Shall Masaya be just another statistic?
Are we going to see leadership that brings to an end these abductions and killings?
“Thou shalt not kill..."
We must come to terms with the fact that one doesn't need to be a Christian to run a successful enterprise, to be a good doctor, or to be a good politician. No one is entitled to rule because some God, or prophet or n'anga told them so. All forms of predeterminism or entitlement
Why is Job Sikhala still in prison for more than 300 days? If he has a case let him be tried and convicted. If not, release him.
This morning, God is speaking good news to those who repent and judgement to disobedience through Isaiah 1. Let those who have ears hear!
1/2 The current abductions, torture, arrests and detentions, high levels of mistrust in the ruling party, failing economy and the ravaging effects of covid19 require change of course before it's too late.

Religion and political legitimation
The recent AlJazeera documentary on Gold Mafia in Zimbabwe revealed how the so-called 'prophets' used their proximity to political power for self-enrichment and facilitate primitive accumulation. This incident serves as a warning against /1
Church shouldn't identify with any political party but must

Churches come to State House to join H.E. President

Church leaders from various Christian denominations are participating in the prayer breakfast.
Notable figures present include Bishop Chihota of the Methodist Church in Zimbabwe,
I know that the discussion on religion in the public sphere may be emotive but also above the comprehension of some.

@energymutodi
is using all words available to insult me. I prefer deliberatlng on the substance of our proposal and not exchange of insults. I am humbly surprised how many suffering Zimbabweans are embracing the call to rebuild trust and confidence.
Dilemmas of churches' public engagement
1. Raise justice issues you are labeled opposition sympathizer
2. Call for dialogue you are labeled ruling party sympathizer
3. Engage political actors, you are labeled too political
4. Avoid public engagement, become an irrelevant church
ENDING VIOLENCE AND BLOODSHED IN ZIMBABWE
Recent developments have shown us that violence remains the most fundamental and urgent challenge to be resolved in Zimbabwe. To effectively do this, we need to first appreciate its deep-rootedness & systemic nature../2

How can president

If a nation does not invest into a culture of negotiation, consensus, and dialogue, the seeds of confrontation, conflict and implosion will start to germinate. Normally there is no winner.
Social justice is best understood from the experiences of pain and marginalisation of the victim. If victim gathers the courage to say they are in pain, the perpetrator must STOP and not try to explain their "good intentions". Otherwise, the neighbours must act in solidarity!!
We are glad to learn that the three missing young ladies, Joannah Mamombe, Cecilia Chimbiri and Netsai Marova were found early this morning. We are really sad that they are badly injured from beatings and were abused. This perpetrators must be brought to book.This can't continue
Two choices our government has
1. Further sharpening of the sword
~ coercion.
2. Turning swords into ploughshares ~ consensus & consent.
Coercion is too expensive and unsustainable.
Consent is easily generated from humble and honesty engagement.
