Good points there. Hate laws have been around for decades in Oz. Now I think the penalty is upped to 7 yrs: and also, it's now the digital age being adjust to. Don't agree with everything, just not new. Right?
Ah yes, because nothing says sovereign nation like letting America dictate our laws. The idea that Trump—who couldn’t even “sort out” his own legal issues—is going to swoop in and save some loudmouth from facing consequences in Australia is just peak delusion. And let’s not pretend these laws are some grand Labor conspiracy—Australia has had hate speech laws for decades. The difference now? Social media has made it easier for people to spread threats and incite violence, and the laws are catching up. If you’re not inciting hate or violence, you’ll be fine. But sure, keep dreaming that Trump is going to roll in and rescue people from Australian law. Maybe he’ll throw in a free steak from Trump Grill while he’s at it
