Really enjoy communicating with other courteous and thoughtful folks on the big (and small) issues of the day. Won't block unless you are threatening/abusive.

@BuenoForMiami But there is Congressional oversight and appropriations for those agencies. A Congressionally approved Cabinet head. And, what they do is pretty transparent. OIG oversight abounding. Can you say ANY of that about DOGE?

@tdotson68gmail1 @ofcrdeonjoseph Sometimes...argh. For the cheap seats, I said NOTHING so support your accusations. Quite the contrary. Good grief. Here's what I endorse for Americans. A govt by/for the people that strictly adheres to the rule-of-law. Resists the temptation to tax. Respects its public servants.

@tdotson68gmail1 @ofcrdeonjoseph I don't think it' 'rewarded for being inefficient.' It's more blocked from efficiency. NO efficiency is not the primary goal of govt. BUT, agencies shouldn't be penalized for spending less than forecast in a year. They are. So, they self-protect by spending every penny. Fix THAT!

@tdotson68gmail1 @ofcrdeonjoseph Of course there is oversight. It's not widespread, but abuse and fraud are uncovered each year (with resulting prosecutions). Agencies and the OIG for the agency must present reports Congress every year. CONGRESS has oversight. But, more transparency is great. IF it's lawful.

@SandySande511 @BehizyTweets Hmm....well, it's easy to make judgments from the sidelines I suppose. Especially when facts don't matter. Still, we kept it mostly polite. So, good for us. Cheers!

@tdotson68gmail1 @ofcrdeonjoseph No that's NOT the purpose of fed agencies, but it IS a real risk. ALL for oversigh/efficiency. Reform's GREAT. But should be 1. legally compliant, 2. transparent, 3. done with compassion and respect for federal public servants, and 4. considered, w/ longterm impact awareness.

@SandySande511 @BehizyTweets We agree about 2 things. America is in trouble and needs to make big (SMART) changes. And officer workers waste plenty of time gabbing to each other. Something remote workers, have less opportunity to do. So, thanks for helping prove my point.

@SandySande511 @BehizyTweets I've little use for most politicians. The ones I respect at all come from backgrounds of real work/service. I look to the US electorate when thinking about the govt. Their anti-intellectualism contributes to the problem. Wish folks would become critical thinkers and get informed.

@SandySande511 @BehizyTweets Now I'm a US govt. Wow. And federal employees don't STEAL their salaries anymore than you (if you have a job) do. That's actually a disgusting thing to say. The govt workers pulling children's bodies out of twisted wreckage in the freezing cold Potomac? Stealing money were they?

@SandySande511 @BehizyTweets Whenever he posts something, I go look up the agency and pull the project description. Pretty regularly what he's offered is not reflective of the actuality.

@SandySande511 @BehizyTweets What primary source did he post? He has an EXTREMELY sketch habit of snipping a few words to put in quotes then TELLING you their context, not showing you. If he's on the up and up, why break rules? Why shutter public access websites?

@SandySande511 @BehizyTweets Commuinists have not been running the US. Are there strong socialist tendencies in political platforms, more prevalent in certain very progressive politicians? Absolutely. And, I have never and WOULD NEVER take anything I read on X as fact. I pull research/look for source docs.

@SandySande511 @BehizyTweets Again, you don't know where I live or what I know/have experienced. And what do you possibly mean by 'war aged men' flooding streets? Again, lets refrain from 'you know nothing!' and stick with 'here's what I KNOW and HOW I KNOW IT.' Actually exchange ideas.

@SandySande511 @BehizyTweets Cool. So you just want all those murderer, rapists, pedophiles, and drug traffickers running amok? OK. If you're an anarchist, you do you. And, NO. A politcian is someone who picks a party and runs for office. Which is a TINY fraction of prosecutors.

@SandySande511 @BehizyTweets Also, I could see your "OH HONEY," and raise the pot with a "Bless your heart!" Or, we can be grown up and and speak respectfully to each other.

@SandySande511 @BehizyTweets Would 'nature...'be there'? Buffalo think not. Animals would be poached, natural resources stolen, water/land polluted. There'd be NO parks w/o govt. A park's a govt run entity. Don't care WHERE I live. If a kid's missing, I'm calling the cops. A strong military can prevent war.

@SandySande511 @BehizyTweets Not trying to be rude here...Musk's posts aren't data. They are 'takes' on what he's allegedly found. Data is raw, not interpretive. I see his posts and as of yet have seen NO data. And, there's ZERO transparency in DOGE? Who has oversight over it? What is their specific plan?

@SandySande511 @BehizyTweets We certainly agree governments must be limited and serve the people. In fact 'government' is NOTHING except the people. But, I can't agree they solve nothing. The military? Law enforcement? Park rangers? Prosecutors? Seem like they are addressing (if not fully solving) problems.
