Saw a video series of a woman whose catahoula bit the nose OFF HER FACE and the dog is just chillin in the bed next to her. Girl if you don’t muzzle that damn dog. Dogs can be threat! They respond based on instinct, not a perceived notion of right and wrong. If a dog feels threatened, it’ll react accordingly. Even my sweet dog, Blue, does not get to meet people without caution and oversight. He’s the nicest dog ever but when strangers ask to pet him on walks, I always gently say no. “Oh, does he bite?” He hasn’t, but he would if he felt he needed to because he’s a dog.
