This is an extremely unprofessional mentality to have. Commissions, as opposed to collabs/requests, are financial transactions. If you want to be treated as a professional, you need to adhere to the terms of your contract, including the deadlines both parties agreed on.
Maybe an unpopular opinion?? but I feel like you should never ever rush an artist you are commissioning even if they take months or even a year on your commissions.
Like artists are people too and life happens. It really means a lot to them if you just tell them “no rush!”
