@Iemonsproda they're used to pain look at those fingernails. is the ear thing another form of RSM. i was a skin picker.

@eschadiol As a parent…. How do you not respect their desires. Or just have basic human decency towards them. It’s not hard.

@mijuneax @Iemonsproda yes. self picking nail biting, the definition goes into multiple definitions. My kid has it bad eating his fingers his autism and adhd doc tried to address it with meds. didn't help. he eats till they bleed like he stuck his fingers in a meat grinder. there's no controlling.

@chapadacomenta @mijuneax @Iemonsproda yeah. i've gotten better but used to pick holes in my skin where ever i thought i had a pimple or a clogged hair follicle then scab and keep going. takes months to heal a pick spot.

@hashjenni Everything i tell my kid i secretly wish i did myself. eat right, be prepared, take care of your self, speak up for your self, your a kid you need rest, your a kid you need love. Yet here i am just making sure he does what i cannot.

@Iemonsproda Ok did some research thought i was off. I was but it's still the same thing. RSM (Repetive Sensorimotor). Restricted and repetitive behaviors (RRBs) on the Autism Diagnostic Interview– Revised (ADI-R: Lord, Rutter, & Le Couteur (1994) were examined in 165 children with Autism.

@Aoife_Bee_ my T was normal they said. like i'm a hot mess, my body is changing, i'm losing muscle, skin changes, emotional ect. maybe i should have asked them to check my E. i don't know how sciency stuff works. But this body seems to be running a bit more femm.

@Egg_irl_bot My boy costume consists of the same style 3 pairs of pants and about 3 t shirts. i just rotate. Lame. Girl me is like this skirts for my thighs, this dress type is for my butt, this ones to hide my arms, heels, the comfort of a sport/support bra, matching my undies.

@k0uzzy @Iemonsproda I've learned a lot today. I did not know about Dermatillomania either. I will have to ask my child's psychiatrist about the difference between them all. RSM.BFRB.Dermatillomania.they all seem like they have some of the same traits but with different underlying syndromes or.
