Funding tension — It’s pretty evident there’s admin bloat at most organizations. There are plenty of amazing admins that do the heavy lifting and push forward to allow scientists to get things done (without which things wouldn’t get done) However, cutting funds overnight seems like a pretty harsh response especially for organizations that can’t move that fast In reality there’s a lot of internal clean up that universities would benefit from but I feel like this could be better phased out and pre planned to let universities restructure departments
