After 14 trips up & down the ladder, 7 disagreements about which smoke detector it was, 5 smoke detectors removed, 2 cats in hiding, we realized it was our carbon monoxide detector. Which is 2 ft off the ground. New backup battery & all is quiet. 🤦🏻♀️.
