1/25 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐈 𝐁𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐯𝐞 Reality is. It exists independently of our perceptions. Truth is our accurate representation of reality. Goodness is rooted in reality’s measurable consequences.

@ConceptualJames The constitution needs us to still articulate an epistemology though. Avoid social constructivism (woke). Avoid divine constructivism (presupisitional scripturalism). Truth is what aligns with reality. Reality is consequential. Perception can be known to be true by consistency.

@ConceptualJames Do you consider presuppositional scriptionalism to be woke or woke right? I call it a form of divine constructivism, but not social constructivism.

@ItIsHoeMath This is what I call "generational obligation". Somewhere along the way it became lost. We must reassert it.

@DOGE If you have family or friends who continue to get their information from old media, push them to look at original sources. “Read me the sentence in the Executive Order that you object to.” And so on. Sunlight is the ultimate disinfectant. 6/

@NatHalberstadt No. I call this: tiered self-aligned responsibility. It has nothing to do with theology.

@JonHaidt @profgalloway Another factor, culturally, many people in tech believe kids are just little adults and should have an equal voice and equal rights as Parents. Google used to have a great supervised account system for kids where you could review access logs. They killed it.

@AJKocman I love that this is getting more attention! Please keep sharing this. More churches and Christians need to explicitly enunciate this!

There are these obvious woke right accounts. I'm curious what you think of Scripturalism, at least as defined here: I think this type of Scripturalism, where it says: "Scripturalism denies the correspondence theory of truth" and "truth can exist only in the form of propositions, it must be mental". In this way, I would classify it as "Divine Construcivism", but I would shy away from calling it "woke right". What do you think?

I am really happy to see JD Vance posts on this, and the responses. For a while, I've called this "Tiered Self-Anchored Responsibility" and I've been introduced to ordo amoris and oikeōsis through these posts. It is not surprising to me that Christians push back so much on this; many actively teach a form Universalism regarding love or responsibility. Then @SovNations calls this a Christian Nationalist plot; saying it really means that people should only love or interact with their own sect first. Which I find ridiculous. Christians who practice Universalism or Radical Altruism tend to have kids who take this lesson to heart; that their parents cared more for others then they did for their own children, which doesn't end well.

@hubertlepicki @MsMelChen Yes, but there are two ways to do this: 1. Tiered Self-Anchored Love / Ordered Love where you prioritize God, Yourself, family, neighbors, nation, then the world in that order. 2. Universalism where you try to love all people the same. I believe in (1).

@billroach_ @biblical_unity I'm excited because today I've learned the Latin phrase "ordo amoris" and the Greek phrase "oikeōsis". I see three viewpoints in society: 1. Tiered Self-Anchored Responsibility (ordo amoris/oikeōsis) 2. Universalism 3. Radical Altruism Which one do you believe in?

This is excellent. We need far more articulations of this. I call this "Tiered self-aligned responsibility." Stoics apparently called this Oikeōsis. We first take care of ourselves, then our family, then neighbor, then citizen, then finally the rest of the world.

“You love your family. Then you love your neighbor. And then you love your fellow citizens... THEN prioritize the rest of the world.” Some will say J.D. Vance is attributing this idea falsely to Jesus. But listen closely. That’s not what he says. 🧵

@SpencerKlavan Thank you for the Greek name for this. I've articulated this as best as I can, and I think it is important. While I called it "Tiered self-aligned responsibility", I appreciate the stoic reference. I'll do more reading on it. But yes, we need this articulated more.

@SpencerKlavan I call this concept "Tiered self-aligned responsibility" We should articulate this concept much, much more.

@tonywendice1954 It is a parasitic religion. It should be banned from government for being religion and from church for being heretical.
