No medications are available in sion hospital. I have a high risk PNC patient who has no relatives with her to buy drugs and food. The people in the bed beside her decided to chip in and pay for her medications🥺🥺 Some people have such big hearts! 🥰

Today I said the navkar mantra for a dead patient in the ward on the relatives’ request, since they couldn’t come inside. One of the most bone chilling experiences I have had.

Its really sad to see interns of other states getting a raise in their salary while interns in Mumbai are working in the biggest epicentre of corona in India and are struggling to get the bare minimum. We were promised 11K, but have received only 6K per month.

Gains: anxiety,surgical skills, resilience, new friends
Losses : sleep, weight, hygiene.
All in all, its been a decent year. Its not so scary anymore. Onwards and upwards💪🏻

As an obgyn resident, we see MLC cases under IPC 376 every emerg.
This emerg was particularly bad, I got a 4 year old with history of sexual assault. I am still a little shaken inside.

Obgy residency is tough. This will be an honest answer about things you should know before opting for it.
1. Understand that everyone is working in a high stress environment, especially during emergency days. Dont take anything people say to you to heart.
Obs Gyne might be very rewarding and satisfactory later in life but from what I see first hand during internship, PGs have the worst possible life, work environment and stress. I really really wonder how one has to be mentally prepared and strong to opt this branch.

I woke up to a shocking news.A resident from KEM committed suicide and passed away. I had worked with her in ICU6 in April. She used to make me look forward to my morning shifts because she used to help me and teach me about ventilatory settings.

The love and support that has poured in from friends and family when they got to know I am sick has truly been heartwarming. In the end nothing matters but love and the people you share it with.
