Protesters sang “Glory to Hong Kong” in Mong Kok to mark the first anniversary of 612. But while they were singing, riot police officers who were initially guarding Langham Place rushed out and cordond off an area. They separated reporters from the protesters.
Police set up a cordon line inside the office building of Apple Daily when they conduct a search in the newsroom. Apple Daily reporters have to stand behind the cordon line at their own office. There is a lil poster printed with “who’s afraid of the truth!”
Woah, Benny Tai, organiser of the primary, said nearly 34,000 ppl voted in the first two hours. Earlier, Tai said initially he did not have enough confidence about the turnout. But he now feels more ppl will be spurred with the government’s warnings and police’s raid.
A boy told lawyer he was just an onlooker and police hit his face with a baton during arrest. He had to wait ~5 hours to call his fam and lawyer.
Kids were in children home before being charged.
