How war crimes & genocidal violence are made collectively acceptable and humane.
There is no justification for Hamas’ heinous act of terror.
Israel has the right to defend itself.
At the same time civilians in Gaza are also victims of Hamas.

Sometimes theory is difficult because it is written against the grain, against accepted wisdom, boundaries of acceptable standards, about the mundane which we don’t question. Sometimes calling it ‘difficult’ is the surest way to maintain status quo.
How do you answer the "why does theory need to be written in such difficult prose?" question?
I have my answers, but I'm wondering what others say.
