The sanctity of box office numbers is being called into question almost every week of 2025 with most films resorting to self bookings either directly through exhibitors or using third party agencies. From Dubbed Films to Original Hindi Films - the self bookings practice has infected the industry like a virus. Sad state of affairs. Don’t even feel like reporting business any longer, as no one knows what’s real & what’s not. Heart breaks to see malpractices to manipulate the results takeover the film fraternity to this extent. The agencies going smarter with self booking patterns, as direct block booking has been exposed time and again on digital world. What’s a hit & what’s not? No one knows. Should we take numbers on face value? Genuinely no answers to these questions
