Growing up in Canada, I can’t even count how many times this piece of art was shown in class, textbooks, etc. Was often told it depicted THE key moment/ the “founding of Canada”
I used "The Death of General Wolfe" when teaching cadets about the 7 Years War. A really good look at how art is a powerful primary source:
