@DeeLau1 @BC_Lancs Thanks for the mention @DeeLau1. Please note these results are preliminary and due to the obvious correlation between bracken and bracken litter, needs some further analysis before publication.

A soggy morning turned into a great afternoon. Plenty of #highbrownfritillary and my first oviposition sightings of both high brown and dark green! I even found the dark green egg!

A fantastic day on site today. First female #highbrownfritillary of the season along with a mating pairs of both HBF & DGF observed. I was starting to worry about numbers this season, it appears they’re just taking their time. #cumbriabutterflies @BC_Cumbria @savebutterflies

The answer is not a lot. What was forecast to be a bright day turned to mizzle. Although another first for the field season...getting soaked whilst walking through wet Bracken.
