Saying goodbye is never easy especially to a dedicated work family w/whom many wonderful experiences were shared 5+ yrs. Gathering w/the staff at GH was bittersweet as we reminisced over our time together. It was also the right time to put in place the official portrait as LG.

In keeping with tradition, & recording history on the grounds of Government House, delighted to be joined by my family-son Jason, daughters Carla Jean & Heidi, His Honour & Sailor Girl, to plant an oak tree which represents strength, indicating years of service as LG of NL.

On this my last day as LG of NL I am reflecting on, & appreciative for, the privilege to serve as LG. Welcomed invite to address @RotaryStJohnsNL on accomplishments in 5 & 1/2 yrs. As LG serve as Hon member of the club. Welcomed opportunity to thank them for their contributions.
