Following the ideas of some of my heroes, Charlie Munger and Nassim Taleb: Invert, always invert and Via Negativa. Instead of writing my principles for success, I will write my principles for failure and then try to avoid them.

This is very nice! And it can also export to latex!

From the very beginning, one of our main goals was: Typing math should be as natural as typing plain text. No syntax, no coding—just start typing, no learning required

In 1986, Frank Herbert, author of the Dune saga, died. Dune is an amazing novel. All the allegories and references it has, and also how it mixes religious ideas with science fiction. One of the book's sentences I like most is: I am no longer afraid, because I see us giving love to each other in a time of quiet between storms — Chani

@golchha_J @3_Cillc Looks very good! Although it seems that it needed more 1 or 2 days in the fridge. The ladyfingers are too yellow, they need to absorve more humidity from the custard.

That preference can be a spectrum and not a binary choice. And also preferences can vary in time. Some months you need some structure and some others you want just to burst yourself out. It might be dependent on the project, the season and other variables Life has more colors, although most institutions can't see them.

@dvassallo That flowchart is the ultimate teleological fallacy. That successful outcomes can be known a priori and in a direct linear way.

@mpawlo A great communicator once said: "1000 songs in your pocket", when everyone was talking about megabytes. History likes to repeat itself.

As someone who likes to code, my problem with using AI tools to code, is that they require being precise in the prompt in order to get what you want. And most of the time, coding is an exploration; you can't be precise because you don't know much about the problem yet and the limitations of your idea before trying. You learn them by doing. You learn them by trial and error with the code.

I am always surprised by the unpredictable impact of technology. The .ai domain is the internet country code top-level domain for Anguilla, a caribbean territory. > In 2023, Anguilla’s government made about US$32 million from fees collected for registering .ai domains. That amounted to more than 10% of gross domestic product for the territory.

@golchha_J Nice! Yes, letting rest in the fridge is the way! Also if you can bake the ladyfingers that will make a huge improvement. Here we sometimes use both cocoa powder and grated dark chocolate on top as a special topping when serving.

How do you tell if someone is a fraud? If they can't say they don't know about a subject, and they still emit an opinion, they are a fraud. Similar to what ChatGPT does.
