Im getting old. One might even say too old to go to war anymore. (Look at the ages of the average LCol in theatre later in Ww1 and 2). My legacy, in the twilight of my career, is training the troops I command to contribute to the safety and security of Canada and the world. So many hands are going up - UNIFER, REASSURANCEβ¦ not to mention the annual LENTUS, CADENCE, NANOOK, even iso PALACI. My unit is the largest in my brigade, and spread over a distance equivalent to the distance between Paris and Warsaw. I donβt see them all as much as Iβd like, but I couldnβt be prouder of the contributions they are making to the CAF and their willingness to deploy.
@jtquilliam When I was in the reserves (30ish years ago), the number of reservists who wanted to deploy overseas was staggeringly high. I suspect it is the same today.

@JasonCroswell @brycepugh @DirtyLeg79 There are two cap badges mentoring ANP in these photos in early 2010. Tell me which are which.

@JohnDra78544334 To be clear, Iβm not trying to denigrate anyoneβs service. Merely putting the uniform on is an exercise in citizenship that 99% of our country people do not participate in. But my point stands.
