Updates. French newspapers report that he will be received Monday morning by President Macron at the Elysée Palace. I guess his residency card is on the right track. As happened to another Malian man, Lassana Bathily, who saved hostages in 2015 during a terrorist attack.

For those who think the neighbour could have easily pulled him up. He tried to reach out and pulled him closer to his own balcony. The neighbour and "Spider-Man" both tried to save him. "Spider-Man was faster... only a few seconds between the photos.

They might give him some papers since he is an undocumented immigrant. Not for long I think. It will be taken care of at the highest level.

Last update and that's it 😛. All's well that ends well. Not only will he become French in the next few weeks but he's also been offered a job as a firefighter 👩🚒. Which seems perfectly appropriate.

Update. President Macron announced that he will be naturalised and become French soon. Mali where he comes from used to be a French colony.

Breaking news! It is even more incredible than first appeared. The child fell from the storey above, caught himself on the wire mesh of the balcony beneath on his way down. He's just as sportif as his saviour apparently.
OK, I’m won over now:

40 years ago I lost half my hearing during a rock concert as I stood for 2 hours close to a loudspeaker 🙄
Today, I regained part of it thanks to my first hearing aids.
Almost invisible, very effective, I didn’t imagine Paris (and myself!) being so noisy! 😱
After ten minutes of conversation on our respective balconies 4 years ago, we fast became friends.
My lovely neighbour Rafi passed away last night after a short illness.

It has been DAYS that I wanted to prepare roasted Mediterranean vegetables in the Greek fashion. But I needed first to finish what I had in the fridge. But tonight is the night!!!
Today, one of my ex-boyfriend from the 80’s passed away after what is called “a long term sickness”. I met him again (with his husband) 4 years ago when I came back to France. We were not close anymore but he still had a special place in my heart.
2020 is indeed a cruel year…
Chorizo risotto in the making. On a whim. I thought I had invented it until I googled “chorizo risotto” and saw it is as old as Methuselah who cooked it every Saturday apparently 😉
