The FIA and Formula 1, proving that 2020 wasnโt about creating and driving change, to โend racismโ, but performative pandering to public sentiment at that moment in time. There is so much wrong with this stance. Extremely disappointing, but ultimately, unsurprising.

If your goal is to one day work in/around Formula 1, a handy tip I would give, is be careful what you put out on social media. Oh and don't burn bridges. It's a small industry and word travels quick ๐คท๐พ. (P.S the first tip also definitely applies to other industries too).

If you're a graphic designer, dreaming of working for an F1 team specifically like I was, jobs are pretty rare: . 10 F1 teams. Graphic designers per team (at most) 7 or 8 .(ours has 4, other teams have less) . Means only around 40-80 team graphic designers in the world.

Lost my Dad to COVID last week. Nothing can prepare you for losing a parent. Or in that way. I watched him fight for his life for nearly 24 hours. The saving grace is he passed away peacefully with me & mum holding his hands. He wasnโt alone. Cherish your loved ones โค๏ธ

I had a degree of guilt leaving working in F1. Whether or not I liked it, I was in a small group of black professionals, representing for a lot of people around the world. Regardless of your opinion on me, my work, the organisations I worked for, leaving meant that number.
We need more BLACK people in F1 spaces. Journalists, copywriters, editors, graphic designers, punditsโฆ. the disrespect the current ones show towards Lewis Hamilton is EXHAUSTING and Iโm certain they donโt put an ounce of thought into any of the nonsense they publish.

What makes me laugh (if you don't laugh you'll cry) is the volume of the online abuse that I've received in the last 18 months, is from POC! . I had to work damn hard to get to my position, in an industry with very few POC and I am not now, or ever apologising for it.
