@koeppelmann Yes. Coordination happens in many ways outside of politics. Money in particular is humanity’s best solution to human coordination. With money, we can leverage individual greed and distill it into human flourishing

@Mikedotcoza The freest markets will undo inequality due to tyranny in the quickest time. SA is not doing that.

I see @bulletxyz_ creating a Solana L2 (dubbed “network extension”). My 2 cents: Offloading execution and sequencing, but inheriting security, is what I would broadly define as an L2. (Bar the newer based rollups, where the sequencing comes full circle for some reason). I’m unclear on the specifics of bullet, but Solana is clearly not the best place to inherit security from. Security is best inherited from the most decentralised network of validators, with the most value put up as stake. To me, @eigenlayer won this game long time ago. Why would @bulletxyz_ not build an AVS? TLDR: Solana L2s don’t make sense @NebulaExchange_ is building the right way. Using @sovereign_labs SDK for the expressiveness and control over the stack, and outsourcing security with an optimistic setup.

The apps on SUI don’t need such beefy computers. The consensus needs the network bandwidth, though. Maybe restricting the validators set’s numbers with the stake cap = even less network latency and even less round trips. Idk what’s up with SUI here. They should open this up. In fact, maybe it’s best that they outsource their security entirely. Decoupling security from the monolith will be good for the ecosystem as a whole long term.
Sui requires you to have $100 MILLION DOLLARS in Sui to join the validator set. You also need a 24c/48t CPU, 128 GB RAM, 4TB NVMe SSD, and 1Gbps networking. Very safe to say Sui isn't decentralized in the slightest. Worse than Solana. Sui can't have a single home staker.

@0xinternetchild Thanks for this. What resources can you throw my way to better track the progress like this? What apps can I test out?

How does @eigenlayer STILL not have slashing? AVSs are not secured but users still pay fees? Stakers get rewards without risk? How hard could it be to implement slashing.

@toghrulmaharram People will post data to the DA with the lowest cost / byte, so the most scalable DA will win. They’ll charge the lowest fee, but will still make the most in revenue
