There was a time in my life when I'd sit in front of the mirror and mutter to myself, "I hate you," with the ugliest look of disgust on my face. My illness was changing my body in ways that were hard for me to accept. But over time, I started to realize something that completely transformed my thinking forever. While I couldn't change what the disease had done to my body, I could change my mindset. I began to focus on the positive aspects of who I am: my kindness, my love for others, and my steadfast faith. By embracing these qualities, I learned to love myself again, no matter what the mirror reflected. Today, I celebrate the person I am within. Unfortunately, this is a very prevalent sin within the church and it is a silent epidemic. I have known respected members of churches who were very active and addicted to pornography. As a youth pastor I was leading a group of guys and everyone in the group raised their hand that they struggled with pornography. They were active in church, praying and reading the Bible. Somehow they convince themselves that it's not that serious.

Western missionaries must be humble when going unto other countries to minister. If you are truly there to minister to the body then you were supposed to serve them not command them. You can offer your perspective, your resources, etc etc but you must be respectful to their leadership team. The locals will trust them more than they will trust westerners. I love the fact that I am American and live in America but we do have a little bit of arrogance that we must unlearn especially when it comes to the church. This is not an American idea this is the god idea. Let's do it his way not the American way

I think it is acceptable to ask her questions that there's no need to get into her personal space and then cry when she puts her elbow out to stop you. I don't agree with her on her policy but she is an older lady and he needs to stay out of her personal space like that she could fall step back a little bit geez.

I read an intriguing thought yesterday: we were designed to be born and die and the body knows how to do both instinctively. It was in the context of hospice care and the dying process, but I've never heard it that way before.
