Also an update in this thread on our area wrestling teams at the Region 3-A Tournament in Livingston, courtesy of Alcoa coach Brian Gossett. From Alcoa, SESI, Heritage and Greenback, 27 wrestlers advanced, including 11 champions. Class A sectionals are next week at East Ridge.
Ten area wrestlers advanced out of the region tournament to the Class AA Sectionals next week at HVA. From Maryville: Beau Bailey, Brody Lewis, Mayson Ball and Derek Dobrovolny. From WB: Spencer Love, Shane Virgilio, Gabriel Tucker, Nate Boger, Nathanial Basler and Tobey Criss.

From Maryville High School today, it’s the Region 2-AA Individual Tournament. Individual championships are about to get under way. @WBHSGovs has four wrestlers competing in the first-place matches, and @homeoftherebels has three.

Last but not least for the area teams in the Region 2-AA Tournament was WB’s Tobey Criss in the 285. Criss was down 7-1 before an emphatic pin of HVA’s Mikeal Arce to win the region title.
