It’s a difficult situation no doubt about it. It doesn’t seem all that complex, it’s just that everyone is dug in. I’m not firmly in the camp that he will attempt another hostile takeover after the jeopardy he put himself in on this one. I would add, and this always brings out some creeps, but I suggest he bring in a put Tillerson on the negotiation. He knows Putin extremely well. But I also think Trump would never ask him.

@lsferguson It’s pretty clear that the DOE is a total failure.

He had people in his first term much better than Musk, much much better. His initial Sec. of State cut State by ~25% and streamlined it very quickly. He also paired up with the Sec. of Defense and paralyzed China Russia. Trump fired him which in part led to the Sec. of Defense resigning.
