Joe Picozzi was unopposed in last week’s Republican primary in the 5th Senatorial District, but estimated he talked to 800 people at a dozen polling locations.

Happy Purple Heart Day!
My Grandfather, Joseph J. Picozzi, was an Army Medic who joined the 254 Infantry Regiment.
He earned both a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star with Valor in Germany in 1945.
God bless all of the men and women who have been honored with a Purple Heart.

I met two heroes this weekend. These guys, Hank and Chris, both got shot in the line of duty in Holmesburg as Philly highway patrolmen. Saturday night they were on their feet, taking pictures and thanking folks for coming to their benefit. They can’t wait to get back in the field
