Angry feelings unexpressed are like ignoring an upset friend. Confusing, disrespectful, arrogant. So scream a bit. Punch a wall. Acknowledge your irrationality. But DON'T write. Your angry self sees only you tapping on a box. Did you not hear it's cry? Next time, the emotion

Since neutron stars are just huge atomic nuclei, each one is an isotope of a new chemical element, right @matt_of_earth @veritasium ? Let's extend the periodic table to include them! Star mass would give a measure of the (variable) amount of protons. Hard to fit on a poster...

In the third year of my technical physics education we finally began with magic. Electricity. Magnets, the ElMag! It became my secondmost hurtful disappointment in those years learning that, no no, it is no mystery, simply apply these formulas and see the resulting structure

@axel7772_ not many people know this but it ends up in the noses of a species of flea (Ctenocephalides Probosluxis) and it is a matter of current research whether or not the flea enjoys it. Most recent results point to the flea being “hella miffed”

Olfactory psychotherapy should be standard. Why not have patients carry around one / a few vials of very distinct but exotic smelling salts, then tell them to sniff a particular one whenever they notice their pathological emotion— then once associated that smell can be rejusted.

@tmichael69_ @jaxajueny Nah she's completely wrong. As are you. The only way to learn is to make an error, and error correct. The latter is way harder than the first, especially for smart people like me. Proposing that we don't communicate about things we're not "experts" in, means no one learns.

@CihanPostsThms Another fun one: although the harmonic series 1+ 1/2 + 1/3 +... diverges; if you alter it by only allowing a finite amount terms containing some digit (for instance, you allow no 2s, which would make the second term disappear in the example above), then the series converges.
