@matrix2k2023 @ghost_motley That is a good idea. A Tesla mobile connector ("charger) can costs $450 and can sense if the plug starts heating up and it'll throttle down accordingly.

@GramanhFolcwald Lower def gave more to the imagination. There's also "best practices" with lower def. IMO. Example: low resolution, don't use 16/24-bit color or textures get really muddy fast. 16 / 256 colors are better at 320x200. etc..

@MissJilianne @elonmusk Kinda funny and true at the same time :) Though if he didn't fly, the amount of impact to citizens via road traffic would be much more costly. (Biden driving to his home in DE regularly turned a large area of 95+side roads into a cluster...)

@frandmckay @Kr1tya @ghost_motley Agreed - but Nvidia can't be held liable for random companies making poor / out of spec products. Should Nvidia also be liable for cheaply made power supplies that turn into smoke and take the system with it?

@frandmckay @Kr1tya @ghost_motley If you live in the US, and were electrically wiring your house.. would you buy no-name brand cable without UL listing on it? :) There isn't a lot of slop in the spec which is unfortunate, but it's on the consumer to buy informed.. Let's see if a Seasonic cable melts..

@CommodoreBlog FWIW.. Steamdeck is pretty good for emulating those 80s and 90s games in your lap, and there are a lot of indie games on Steam with that vibe. (Dead Cells definitely has the Castlevania nailed down). OTOH I bought my Dad a Quest headset and he (73) plays minigolf everyday

@NachoPartyPackz @Kr1tya @ghost_motley What quality management process does the third party follow? Is there a certification or testing?
