I’m heartbroken to say that my brother Steve passed away last night. He spent the last few months in hospital fighting a serious infection but sadly lost his battle yesterday. He was 54. I’m shocked and profoundly saddened by his death. I’ll be off social media for a while.

What a weird evening. During tonight’s show, Michael Ball accidentally headbutted me onstage, my mic “popped” so loudly during Bring Him Home it sounded like an explosion, and I just intervened to prevent a potential drunken assault on someone whilst waiting at the bus stop!
