Analysis of the preprint from @gsducker! As always it was a pleasure to work with the Ducker Lab and @RutterLab to get this paper out! @NEH_CVRTI @UofUBiochem @uofunuip
I am excited to share our new preprint on lactate metabolism! This has been a tremendous effort by my lab, @StavrosDrakos and @RutterLab to integrate biochemical and physiological data to understand the mechanism of lactate metabolism in the heart. .

Excited to share our latest preprint article showing direct mitochondrial lactate oxidation in the 🫀! @molecularpepsi has a great breakdown of our findings here.
🚨Thrilled to share our new preprint from my postdoc work in the @RutterLab! The latest outcome of our close collaboration with @gsducker and @StavrosDrakos labs, where we uncovered something big: mitochondria directly import lactate as fuel in the heart! @HHMINEWS @UofUBiochem 🧵
