I addressed and took part in discussions at the UEG/PCE/PANCAID stakeholder meeting at the European Parliament. I pledge to do my utmost to increase awareness about this disease and to heighten its profile in political fora. This is soon to become the second deadliest cancer in Europe. We need to champion pancreatic cancer research.

In Brussels ๐ง๐ช, I emphasized that, as in other areas of the health sector, we must work together on both the political and clinical aspects to ensure that efforts are being made for the benefit of European citizens. In the coming months, we will be launching an open consultation process to review the current legislation on organ donations and evaluate the recommendations mentioned in the European Council conclusions. Transplant medicine offers a superior quality of life to those in need of organs, and the Government is committed to doing whatever is necessary to ensure that no one is left behind.

I emphasized how access to medicines remains at the forefront of our agenda as we continue to engage in efforts with other Member States through the Small Countries Network. Our country is working to further develop these areas to continue providing the best care and services to patients. โข World Health Organization (WHO)
