I addressed and took part in discussions at the UEG/PCE/PANCAID stakeholder meeting at the European Parliament. I pledge to do my utmost to increase awareness about this disease and to heighten its profile in political fora. This is soon to become the second deadliest cancer in Europe. We need to champion pancreatic cancer research.

In Brussels 🇧🇪, I emphasized that, as in other areas of the health sector, we must work together on both the political and clinical aspects to ensure that efforts are being made for the benefit of European citizens. In the coming months, we will be launching an open consultation process to review the current legislation on organ donations and evaluate the recommendations mentioned in the European Council conclusions. Transplant medicine offers a superior quality of life to those in need of organs, and the Government is committed to doing whatever is necessary to ensure that no one is left behind.

In Denmark 🇩🇰, during the 74th session of the @WHO Regional Committee for Europe, we discussed several important topics, including access to medicines, mental health, digital health, and strengthening human resources for health. I emphasized how access to medicines remains at the forefront of our agenda as we continue to engage in efforts with other Member States through the Small Countries Network. In a speech about #AMR (antimicrobial resistance) at the United Nations, the importance of investing more in innovative medicine rather than in new weapons of war was highlighted.

🇺🇸 During the 5th Annual Ministerial Meeting with the theme - Financial Protection: the Key to Unlocking UHC and Ensuring Equitable Access for All, I spoke about how important it is that antibiotics are used properly as is appropriate. It is important that economically advanced countries should develop new and innovative antibiotics.
