SIIB(I),JNCH on specific input, intercepted 3×20 feet containers declared to have (65 MTs of QATAR origin) "Aluminium Oxide Industrial Grade" whereas on examination Aluminium Dross (Alu Scrap THIRL) was found which is restricted as per DGFT Policy, being a toxic industrial waste.

On 19.09.22, the CIU, JNCH, in a follow up investigation, seized another 3 MTs of "Red Sanders LOGS" worth Rs. 2.5 Crs concealed in set of three WOODEN pellets. The consignment was to be smuggled out of India using same MODUS OPERANDI.

examined goods were found to be grossly undervalued,

On 25.02.2022, SIIB (Import), Nhava Sheva Customs, based on in-house information, intercepted ONE 40 feet container (13.45 MT) containing Massager, Laundry Bag, Portable Lithium Ion Battery (Rs.30/- PER piece). The declared value of the consignment was Rs. 9.8 lakhs.
