Using hyp2mat -> CSXCAD for the first time to try my hand at PCB simulation in openEMS. It seems to occasionally mangle tracks and polygon pours. @samerps @QVHenkel any tips before I try debugging the code?

@cnlohr That transformer has high DCR (60 Ω secondary!) and leakage inductance (.4 µH), so I imagine a lot of hidden ringing and EMC issues (don't see a primary snubber or input caps). Still very compact compared to mine!

I've long been curious about design adages like "put a .1 µF capacitor next to every IC". I've been been working on a setup to measure what capacitors actually do on a PCB. I made a test board, ran some experiments, and put together the results here:

@caro There was always some linebacker-sized guy (trying to look inconspicuous while typing on a comically small MacBook Air) stationed near Mark Z's conference room whenever he was in. Don't recall them following him to the loo though.

@mxshift The public RFD site looks broken - blank pages after the Github oauth bounce for me.

@QVHenkel Did you get nf2ff working? It's too bad OpenEMS basically abandonware; EM simulation is in real need of a FOSS package. I'd also love to try something like the adaptive meshing in - cartesian grids are no good for a lot of geometry.
