while we're on the topic, people are missing the obvious thing about Jensen's shiny new jacket it's self-exemplifying... i.e. the physical object (the jacket) reflects the core message of the presentation and the object that brings it to life (the superchip) specifically, the jacket represents the 576 memory chips (top & bottom) that transfer the equivalent of the entire internet’s traffic in a single second to the processors in the middle and the presentation was about massively increasing token generation rates, i.e. tokens/s so we can ultimately scale AI gotta love self-exemplifying things
The most powerful chip in the world. What’s on this wafer has the bandwidth of basically the global internet traffic.

@andrewcyu I agree, Andrew, I was trying to put my finger on what kinds of things can help us, and "fighting the atrophy" hits it on the head, now just need to figure out how to we design and use/interact w/ai in ways that do that (and help us all overall)

this is inspired by the design of @jackbutcher and his wonderfully thought-provoking "this is pointless / keep going" image, but in the context of human history our shared, collective experiment rather than just an individual endeavor we're all in this together and we're now firmly in the exponential we can't imagine what's ahead so we should preserve and extend what we have ...
