Greed is the wrong word...self interest is more accurate. And FWIW, it's not that self interest is 'good', but that it aligns with human nature, which either evolved over millions of years or is part of our design...either way, it is inescapable and immutable. Capitalism has self interest as its inate motivation...so no outside force or compulsion is necessary to get people to work hard, struggle and sacrifice.

AI is/will be very productive. These jobs won't have to be replaced by AI or contractors or anyone else...they're not productive. This house is of cards we're living in will not stand for much longer...35 trillion dollars in debt and adding a trillion dollars of new debt every 100 days...something has to give. As painful as these cuts will be, they're less painful than entitlement cuts or massive tax increases (especially if those tax increases occur while our government is still growing like a sugar fed cancer).

Cut and/or combine...why in God's name does the federal government need 500 separate, often overlapping departments. Cut entitlements significantly, raise taxes massively (and let the government continue to grow like a sugar fed cancer) or cut ALL waste, fraud and corruption (at least try to cut it all). The third option seems best...especially as it will result in a much more efficient and effective government.

That's not true...especially if you're talking about an overall reduction in force...aka layoffs. MAJOR reductions in force are coming to all 492 departments of the federal government...at least 50%. And there will probably be less than 250 departments when DOGE is finished. Go DOGE!!!!!

I wish it were true....unfortunately: So goes Germany, so goes Europe... So goes Europe, so goes NATO... So goes NATO...so goes most of the free world. Germany, England and France all look more like the CCP, than they do the Europe of the late 20th century...it's sad to watch, but most importantly, from an American's perspective, it's very scary to watch. Please wake-up over there...before it's too late.

FWIW, those right of center don't care that the 'system failed us'...we don't want the system to 'help'...we want 'the system' to just shrink as small as possible and get out of the way. Empower DOGE. Institute full and unfettered school choice. Shrink the federal government...a lot. Cut regulations and red tape. Reverse globalization. Kill 'the system'.
