During our #ChileanMargin2024 cruise, the Humboldt Squid have been photobombing like crazy! Here was one of ‘em coming to say hello👋
A Humboldt squid came in for a quick inspection of samples ROV SuBastian was taking from a Lamellibrachia tubeworm mound. These tubeworms live around cold seeps & create reef-like structures that support associated animals such as anemones, basket stars & crabs #ChileanMargin2024
