@kimischilling The same way that everyone should work in the service industry at some point to understand the dumb stuff they complain about, all sports fans should have to referee a game so they have some degree of understanding that they don’t know what they’re talking about lol

@aNateScott He read everything. After he talked to me, unnecessarily and incredibly, for an hour about soccer when I was just an SI intern, he read and offered edits on a soccer magazine feature I wrote. Always kept in touch even though he didn’t need to. Great person.

Nicest guy I ever met at @SInow. So giving of his time, insight and expertise. Such a good person and a humanitarian sportswriter, rather than a sportswriter who sometimes covered the social issues. He will be missed in American soccer deeply.

@NicoleHaase @byKyleLobner @Evanryt I was a huge Rampage fan as a kid and have great memories, but it was def quaint by today’s standards. Did you follow the Mke Barons supporter-led movement? The Torrent never materialized. I hope our fan culture can/will support a local team in addition to their favorite EPL club

On-field but mostly off-field with the A+ digital/social media and branding, FMFC has performed like a big club while being genuinely community-focused. With the same ownership group, hoping that happens here too.
