VAAC Harrier XW175 went to sea many times during 40 years of service. The 1st time was in 1977 aboard HMS Hermes for Harrier Sea Trails alongside G-VTOL and two single seat variants. The last time was in 2007 aboard French aircraft carrier Charles De Gaulle for SRVL trails. XW175 was the first 2 seat Harrier to take off from a ski jump launch ramp in August 1977 and the first Harrier to achieve more than 100 ski jump ramp launches. In 2005 XW175 had the privilege of being the last ever fixed-wing aircraft to launch from HMS Invincible. Here are a few sea trials images from the aircraft history file archive.

RAF Tucano T1 aircraft served for 30 years as a turbo prop trainer aircraft training generations of RAF / RN pilots and navigators. The Tucano main operating base for over 3 decades was RAF Linton-On-Ouse a few miles north of York. It’s been a privilege lending a hand to bring ZF448 home again to North Yorkshire. A Huge thanks to our haulier / crane operator Greenbanks Crane Services for supporting the move. Thanks to Jack T Sage Photography for the in service image taken September 2019.
