@Moses58373David @AdarWeinreb Druze are well integrated into Israeli society and serve in the army and reached high ranking positions. Nearly every Israeli mall has a Druze pita stand.

@diaaeld88167498 @AdarWeinreb Culture is not race, and culture evolution is amazing. But claiming that Palestinians are indigenous Levantines doesn’t make sense, especially when compared to actual indigenous Levantines. And that’s okay—there’s nothing wrong with not being an indigenous Levantine.

@Moses58373David @AdarWeinreb It’s impossible to abandon everything, especially when continuing to live in the same place. The Druze and the Bedouin have preserved their traditions.

@diaaeld88167498 @AdarWeinreb So you’re arguing over the enormous richness and diversity of Jewish culture, language, and prayers carried through generations, while claiming Palestinians are indigenous Levantines despite preserving nothing? How do you explain indigenous people abandoning everything?

@poiu477 @thatgeekinit @mellowprotoss2 @BriannaWu Yes, sure. Despite enduring thousands of years of persecution, Jews preserved their traditions, prayers, language, even when they had to conceal them. Are you suggesting that Palestinians forgot everything? Indigenous people do not forget their native traditions and prayers.

@poiu477 @thatgeekinit @mellowprotoss2 @BriannaWu Right. I hope you’re aware that Arabs are the colonizers here.

It’s not their land. The territory was colonized by the Ottomans and then, for a short period, by the British, who prevented persecuted Jews from entering, so they died during the Holocaust. Palestinians had numerous opportunities for their own state; any sovereignty they gained was used to destroy their neighbors rather than to build a state. “From the river to the sea” means all the land, not just 48 or 67, but all of it. Don’t confuse wanting a state with wanting a neighboring state not to exist.

@poiu477 @thatgeekinit @mellowprotoss2 @BriannaWu I think Palestinians should stay in Gaza, they should stop trying to slaughter their neighbors.

The Jews were expelled from their land; some managed to stay, others gradually returned, but many were prevented from coming back. How is it that those who prevented the original owners from returning have more rights than the original owners? In an absurd turn of events, the Jews even had to repurchase their own land from the colonizers. Again, partition was a reasonable plan in this situation, though not fair to the Jews. Life is a compromise and Jews were willing to compromise.

Jews reclaimed and reestablished their state after thousands of years of persecution. It doesn’t get more just than that. Although it was their land, they agreed to and welcomed a partition plan. It doesn’t get more fair than that. When two groups have competing demands, partition is the most reasonable solution. It wasn’t fair to the Jews, who had to divide the land after miraculously surviving thousands of years of persecution, but it was a reasonable compromise.

@IterIntellectus Qatar is spending billions to spread an organized propaganda campaign through Al Jazeera against Israel/Jews. Unfortunately, propaganda is a powerful tool that works. We also still see the remnants of anti-Zionist propaganda machine by the Soviets, which influenced China as well.

@KurienSS @mattyglesias For daily commutes, seamless home/at-work charging is enough. On vacations, stopping to charge is actually fun—drivers need a break anyway, so it’s a good opportunity to explore new locations while grabbing coffee or food.

@mattyglesias Completely the opposite. 90% of the time, the car charges overnight—I never have to go to a gas station again. On long trips, we enjoy coffee breaks while it charges in 20–30 mins. Many superchargers are in great locations, we get to explore new downtowns.
