My father fell and sustained a severe brain injury in June, subsequently undergoing three brain surgeries, and spent almost two months in the hospital, and none of us were allowed to visit him, including my stepmom.

Nine years ago today, I survived a near fatal suicide attempt. The years since have been filled with moments of growth, healing, & new moments of joy/discovery. I can’t say it’s been easy, by any stretch of the imagination, but I’m immensely grateful to be here.

I quit my stressful job today. It was a spontaneous decision but not surprising. I've been trying to make it work there since I started a year ago. I don't have another job lined up yet, so I am going to take some time to regroup and get back to hunting. Wish me luck.

Positive thoughts appreciated. In about 24 hours I will undergo diagnostic imaging and an ultrasound to determine if a mass on my left breast appears cancerous. If it does, they will also do a needle biopsy. I'm quite terrified. Thanks for your support.
